Assistive Technology Support Services Coordinator


Dr. Danalyn Workentin is part of the Technology & Learning Connections (TLC) Team as the AT & UDL Services Coordinator. The TLC Team is part of the Problem Solving/ Response to Interventions (PS/ RtI) Program through Florida’s Multitiered System of Supports (MTSS) Project at the University of South Florida. Danalyn assists in the areas of Assistive Technology (AT), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Accessible Instructional Materials (AEM), and Instructional Technologies (IT).

Danalyn has a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and is a Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) certified Assistive Technology Professional. She has 15 years of experience, beginning her career in the medical field before moving to the education environment. In both the medical and educational model, Danalyn has worked to meet the needs of every person, utilizing Assistive Technology to help them achieve their goals. Danalyn has experience working with Administrators to identify AT needs and develop an AT program from the ground up, including facilitating the progression from AT to UDL (Universal Design Learning). She has presented at regional, state, and national conferences. Danalyn has experience supporting students with a range of needs, from low incidence to high incidence. She has enjoyed collaborating with teachers to help them provide educational access to ALL students, showing that every student can learn with the appropriate support.
